A charming little café nestled on the street side of Kirkwall, it's a wonderful spot to visit. The portion sizes are generous and reasonably priced, and the staff are excellent. The atmosphere is inviting and pleasant. It’s a fantastic place to relax while in Kirkwall or a great stop on your way to explore the other end of Orkney. View all feedback.

What User doesn't like about Trenabies Cafe Bistro:
2* as the govt coffee was nice. You normally have to travel to the big city to encounter the level of casual indifference I met on my one (and only) visit. From the moment I walked in I got the vibe that it 's one of those places you 're meant to feel honoured to be a customer. The place was full (it 's not that big) and the staff just seemed to be rushing about in that style of people who are 'very busy ' but disorganised. I got the impression that there wasn 't anyone in charge and everyone was just doing their best without direction. Ordering my coffee was more drawn out then it needed to be and it took about 10 mins to be made, which is ridiculous and at one point I thought they 'd forgotten the order. Nice coffee, shame about the customer experience.
