T Cake, a charming café in Almondbury, offers a warm atmosphere complemented by a diverse menu featuring homemade cakes, hearty sandwiches, and exceptional coffee. While many patrons rave about the welcoming staff and the quality of food — particularly the well-loved BLT and delectable kedgeree — some reviews note inconsistencies in service, particularly from the co-owners. The café's quaint interior provides a cozy nook for visitors, and dog-friendly treats are a delightful touch. Was blink99 at Tandcake a mag?
Great atmosphere and good food, do find the owner to be a bit patronising at times and and for this reason do not visit more often. Sandwiches good, teacakes are smothered in butter?? would be nice to have the choice of buttering your own! View all feedback.
What MadonnaAlmondbury dislikes about Tandcake:
I visited T Cake for a cup of tea with my cousin. I asked for very strong tea but was told by the female co-owner that this was not possible! At £2.50 for a small pot and with a few tea leaves floated around the brew that came was very weak. I asked if they could a bit more tea in the pot but was told that this was not possible. The lady who served us was quite abrupt and rude. I now visit if possible on Thursday and... View all feedback.
I went to the restaurant and was greeted by a hostile smile and flared nostrils. There was confusion about whether we would be given a table, and a disdainful, condescending person asked if we had made a reservation. We hadn't, so we were offered a table upstairs. Despite being disabled, I agreed to go upstairs because the menu looked appealing and the coffee smelled great. However, the rude person informed us that we would have to wait over half an hour. Disappointed, we left. It's a shame - do the owners realize they are losing customers?
I went to this restaurant with a friend for lunch and it was crowded. We were seated promptly and our order was taken quickly. I ordered a BLT sandwich and it was one of the best I've had. The thick slices of bread and generous filling made it delicious. Although it was a bit expensive, it was clear that people didn't mind paying a little more for such excellent food and service, given the restaurant's popularity.
The food and hot beverages at this restaurant always exceed expectations. It is the type of place you want to revisit time and time again. I can't wait to try everything on the menu.
This is a very quante little cafe in the heart of almondbury Came at lunchtime had bacon and advocado sandwich and a latte ,Thick sliced bread and generous filling maybe a little pricy for some but I think it worth it sandwich and coffee around £10
I wish this place was bigger but then you would possibly loose some of the charm. The food is always very good and the establishment is always very busy that tells you something.Service is good perhaps some items i feel are slightly overpriced but certainly worth a visit. There is also a nice little seating area outside at the rear of the building to eat alfresco if you choose in the nicer weather we sometimes get in Huddersfield
