Heck's, a quaint townie bar known for its burgers and friendly atmosphere, faces a dichotomy of experiences. While diners praise the delicious burgers and standout fish fry, some lament overcooked dishes and worn decor, particularly the shabby carpet near the bar. We used to love going there for a burger and beer. After not being there for a couple years we stopped to grab a bite to eat. The burgers were dry and flavorless and our waitress was ok at best. Hopefully it was an off day, but I can guarantee it will be awhile before we go again.
We had Waleye baskets and they were very very good. The Jack and Cokes were very good too. Ha Ha
Food to be expected at a bar. Mostly fried and quite tasty. Fairly quick to get your food and drinks and well priced. Nothing fancy, just down for a good meal and easy going staff. Rob is a hardworking owner and appreciates the local support.
