I've experienced just about everything this place has to offer. I've attended work Christmas parties, celebrated Christmas Eve, participated in various functions, enjoyed trivia nights, watched live bands, gone on dates, played pool and other games, and had a great time overall.

The Greengate Terrace boasts an elegant and stylish ambiance while retaining the building's historic charm. Natural light floods the room through numerous windows and doors that open to the terrace, which has ample seating. The service tends to be more refined than what you'd typically find at a pub, offering table service instead of the usual buzzer system, which is a refreshing change. The bar is well-stocked with enticing cocktails, a quality wine selection, craft beer, and premium spirits. The food at Greengate Terrace matches the high standards set by the venue, showcasing quality ingredients enhanced by the culinary talent of the kitchen staff. Starters are simple yet highlight the freshness of the ingredients. The half dozen Sydney Rock Oysters are plump and creamy, served fresh with a champagne vinaigrette that adds a delightful contrast. There are several small plates available for sharing, and the standouts of the day were the trio of Mooloolaba grilled butterflied king prawns, which offered a nice charred seafood flavor. For a vegetarian choice, the asparagus dish is light and refreshing, featuring both grilled and shaved asparagus served with grapefruit slices, rocket, and tonburi (Japanese field caviar). This dish is beautifully presented and expertly prepared. When it comes to mains, the menu includes an array of pub classics such as fish and chips, pasta, roast chicken breast, slow-cooked lamb, pan-fried Barramundi, and various cuts of steak. The dining experience here is significantly classier than what’s typically found in pubs. We particularly enjoyed the Barramundi, which had crispy skin and flaky flesh, served alongside broccolini and a silky kimizu sauce—a Japanese sauce made with egg and vinegar, akin to béarnaise. The dish was simple yet elegant and impeccably prepared. We also sampled the 5+ Wagyu rump from the specials menu; the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and melted in the mouth. Accompanied by French fries and a remarkably delicious truffle butter, it was one of the better steaks we’ve had. A range of sides and tempting desserts is also available for those with hearty appetites. Overall, our experience at the Greengate was delightful, and it’s certainly a place we plan to revisit. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping by, whether you’re headed up the coast or returning. A big thank you to the Greengate Terrace for their hospitality and to Vandal and Co for the invitation.
We visited the Terrace for Father's Day lunch and were not disappointed. Caitlin, who served our table, provided fantastic service and was very attentive to our needs. Unsure of what to expect from the dishes, we were pleasantly surprised by their quality and flavor. The salmon sashimi and pork belly were highlights, as were all the desserts. We look forward to visiting again!
