Was Amber D at Satrang a mag?
Since moving to Maui I’ve missed my ultimate comfort food; dosas. I was ecstatic to hear that Satrang had them! They are so tasty and I really liked to dip them in their Sambhar as well as their chutneys. Soooo satisfied at a great price. I usually have at least two dosas, you can’t have just one! The only thing I wish they had was some sort of spicy sauce. I will be coming by every time I’m in Kihei View all feedback.
Fresh and tasty food! Clean place. Sweet people. Sambar and coconut chutney tasted yum! awesome lassi. a must visit in haiku if you’re a foodie too :
I loved my dish, vegetable koorma plate. It was vegetarian, curry like, with a chickpea salad on the side and yogurt dressing in a little container. Service was very friendly and quite fast. The couple in that food truck seem to love their job and their food. Next time I go to Kihei, I'll get a mango lassie from them.
We were lucky to discover this restaurant during our recent trip to Maui. The food was incredibly authentic and packed with flavor. While I was out running errands, I picked up a few lunch items for the kids, and they loved the dosa so much that they asked for more at dinner. My mother-in-law also sampled some of the kids' food and requested a serving for herself. We were very satisfied with the meal, and the service was outstanding. We’ll definitely come back on our future visits to Maui.
How is this place not rated 5 stars? It’s my favorite food truck and one of the best spots to eat on Maui. The food quality is consistently excellent, and every bite is delicious! We absolutely love this food truck. I can't praise the vegetable korma and masala dosas enough. The naan bread is incredibly fresh and flavorful—truly the best I've ever had! The menu may be a bit limited, but that just means they’ve perfected the dishes they serve. I adore Satran, and I know you will too!
I ordered a masala dosa and a regular dosa with chutney. While the spice level wasn’t as high as I’m accustomed to, I understand that they need to accommodate a variety of tastes since they're in a tourist area. Nevertheless, it still had the classic dosa flavor and coconut chutney that I adore. One masala dosa might not be sufficient for an average person, but having two was just right for me. The total came to about $16, which I think is quite reasonable for this area and what you would typically pay at most restaurants.
