Feedback
Hoodadak offers a mixed experience with its flavorful chicken and popular appetizers like kimchi fries and bulgogi fries. While many patrons appreciate the friendly service and tasty dishes, some have noted inconsistencies in spice levels and food quality. Despite a charming ambiance and helpful staff, a few diners expressed disappointment with specific menu items. Overall, the restaurant stands out for its unique flavors, but it may occasionally fall short of expectations for the price. A visit promises satisfying dishes, though patrons hope for more consistent quality.
Let me start off by saying that I used to love hoodadak, I come here about every 1-2 months and order takeout, and it's super delicious. I usually order the hot wings and they always have a lot of spice on them! but now they are putting little to no spice at all.. on the chicken it's not even hot. It's like they're running out of it or something. Each time I go it becomes less and less hot. I've also noticed that there's not a lot of chicken on it. Anyways, you would think for the expensive price we are paying it would be worth it.
My extended family and I went to Hoodadak recently, and it was just an ok experience. The food was alright crispy deep fried chicken with a good variety of sauces, fries were seasoned pretty heavily, overpriced sides (pickled radishes and cole slaw), and drinks are reasonably priced, especially during happy hour. However, the wait staff seems inexperienced, especially to cater to a large group. The restaurant wasn 't extremely busy when we were there, but it seemed to take a long time to receive our food and beer. They didn 't even know how to dispense the draft beer properly in a cup. While they were fulfilling our order, another customer came in to order, and she waited nearly an hour for food because they forgot to put her order in! We felt so bad for her that we actually gave her some of our food to eat while she waited. I don 't even think they compensated her for anything. The restaurant was in such disarray that the manager/owner himself walked out during service! He just left his inexperienced employees behind, but I will say that these boys who served us were so nice and were doing the best they could. Would I go back? I wouldn 't go out of my way, but perhaps if I was in the area, take out or delivery is probably the better option. They are definitely not set up to cater to a large group of more than 10 people.
My post is a couple of weeks overdue, but here it is!I placed a catering order for Korean bbq chicken and it was GREAT as usual.Met Sam the owner who worked with me to ensure the chicken would be fresh, stay warm and presentable. His staff is really nice and especially David, who was courteous and helpful! We have been fans of Hoodadak since it's beginning, as it's clean, and has a nice ambiance with even private booths and will continue to be back again and again!
I don't know how this place have 4.5 rating, would like to think they do better usually and today was just a bad day. Ordered their popcorn chicken, corn cheese and spicy and parmesan fries only good thing were the spicy fry. Chicken were dry and chewyall the way. Cheese corn were blend. Below average food for Katy. There are better places to be at and will be avoiding thisplace in future
