What a treat! Besides wonderful food I got to learn some history about the area and how immigrants from Gubio Italy settled in the area and brought their recipes and traditions with them. The pizza is old forge style. The soup was rich, homemade and worth driving through a snowstorm to get. The meatballs and gnocchi are both homemade and delicious. Go there often. Food is always good. Pizza good. But our last experience was awful. After being seated took 10 minutes to get acknowleged. Food is inconsitant. Usually like Fettuccine in red clam sauce. Ordered a week ago not the same as before. It was like a marinara sauce with chopped clams dumped in it. Hopefully it was a one off. The food was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant was very clean, which I appreciated. I enjoy dining at family-owned restaurants because they are dedicated to providing excellent service.
This was my go-to place for pasta when I was in Scranton. They offer a special deal every Tuesday called "Tuesday pasta night."
We absolutely adore the food at this restaurant. We have been coming here for many years, even back when my children were young. My all-time favorite is the sausage pizza!
Not very happy with the vodka pizza I got today. Hardly any vodka sauce. Mostly cheese. I will not be getting it again.
I ordered a pizza and had to wait when I arrived to pick it up. When I got it home, it was obvious that it had been reheated and tasted like cardboard. I called the restaurant, and they explained that the delay happened because the person who picked it up was chatting with someone at the bar while waiting for the pizza. True enough, but that doesn’t excuse the quality! Eventually, they did offer to replace the stale pizza when I returned it, but the new one was only marginally better. The icing on the cake came when a woman called to tell me they'd reviewed the security footage and confirmed that the person who picked up my pizza was indeed talking to someone at the bar. Isn't that just fantastic customer service? They can keep checking their cameras and serving reheated food, but you can bet we won't be back. It's such a disappointment. Chuckie would never have tolerated such poor business practices—he was a true class act.
