Before visiting this restaurant, I strongly recommend reading the reviews first. I regret not doing so before going in. We ordered a blaze bowl, but were told there was only enough rice for one bowl, so we had to settle for just one. The smoothies we ordered were average, but had a strange aftertaste. It took 20 minutes for our smoothies to be prepared. While we were there, another customer tried to use the bathroom only to be told by an employee that it was out of order due to a broken sink. The customer offered to use hand sanitizer from his car, but was told he couldn't because of security cameras. It is illegal to operate a restaurant without a functional bathroom. We were unable to use the restroom ourselves. The prices are high for the quality of food offered. Overall, our experience was terrible. It was our first and last time visiting this restaurant. It's disappointing because it is one of the few healthy dining options in Jackson, and we had hoped for a better experience.
I really enjoy the smoothies at this restaurant. When they are made correctly, they are really good. However, I have had multiple negative experiences with the staff. They seem unwilling to prepare orders and are often rude to customers. On several occasions, they have told me they couldn't make my order, and they only want to make smoothies after 5pm. Today, when it was finally my turn, they were out of ingredients to make smoothies. I hope the owner reads this review and recognizes the impact their staff's behavior is having on their business.
Excellent service and quality of food, when available. The smoothies are always available (if over priced), but the food hardly is. Upon coming into Qwench, usually around 4-5, I have been told three times that the kitchen is closed. No food, or smoothie bowls. It's extremely frustrating. Just today, after one month of not going, stopped in at 1:15. No kitchen availability. It's frustrating.
Everytime I come here, there is either a machine down or they are out of something. I'm quite sure its that the staff is just lazy and lying. They usually look at each other and snicker as they say the machine is down. There's no way they go several months without a working juice machine at a juice bar. I feel bad for the owner as I'm sure he doesn't know.
