As someone who often works nearby, I always make a point to have lunch at The Windmill In The City. The food is always fresh and incredibly delicious, especially the pasta dishes. So from the outside it feels like you are going to enter a really old building which may have lots of nooks and crannies with massive tradition. In reality however, this pub is owned by a biggish brewery and just feels like a chain pub. We sat in the bar area which is like any pub in any high street. Service friendly but uninspiring. The Kitchen opens at 12 but they let us in around 11.40 am. A great place for award winning pies. We had to come back again to try the Gold award venison...
When traversing Bond or Oxford street, this gem of a British pub is located in between the side streets. It's not entirely overrun like the Main Street...
Everything was awesome. Shepherd 's Pie was delish and the dudes were excellent. Some of the best service I 've had in London in years. Worth the venture...
