Was DonnaM at Kaiwa Teppan Sushi a mag?
We have friends who come from the mainland twice a year and they always insist on Kaiwa 's happy hour because of the value and the wonderful service. We never feel rushed to eat quickly during happy hour and they even come and give us a last call notice. View all feedback.
What Juan Montaño dislikes about Kaiwa Teppan Sushi:
Absolutely awesome! Great food, great service...thanks to Joe and outstanding waiter. Unfortunately they close on 30 JUN. Go before its too late, you'll regret it if you don't. View all feedback.
Took outside table. Great service. We liked fish &chips, temaki-sushi and karakara.
Too bad they are closing....their food was great as always. The service was outstanding as well!!
Sushi was not what it had been made out to be. Not impressed. Many other great places to eat in Honolulu
What a wonderful dinner! The food, service, and location were all excellent. It's easy to find, located upstairs in a strip mall, and we made an OpenTable reservation. They offer both outdoor and indoor dining options, and the menu is quite intriguing. We thoroughly enjoyed the abalone and probably should have stopped after the grilled abalone. Below, you'll find many photos from our meal. Highlights included the chilled tofu appetizer, volcano roll, and pork entrée. However, I would recommend skipping the specialty miso soups and mochi.
The meal was great and really yummy! I got the garlic maguro steak meal, which was $15.00. There is a 20% kamaaina discount on the lunch meal sets. All of the sets include miso soup and a salad. The restaurant is pretty small, so I would recommend going early. Overall, I would recommend going to this place before they close. They are planning on closing at the end of June 2019.
