My first time at Ike’s. I got the meatless mike and it was ok. This location does not have vegan cheese. Definitely not the best sub I’ve ever had. But it tasted good. Wouldn’t recommend honestly but I needed a quick bite to eat on my way to the airport. Super crowded parking lot View all feedback.
Ike's offers a variety of vegan choices and they are willing to modify any dish to make it vegan. Although I enjoy the meatball subs the most, all the options are tempting. I even had a conversation with Ike himself recently and he mentioned that more vegan choices are coming soon.
Ikes is located in the Ala Moana mall food court, next to Macy's on the first floor. This food court stands out from your typical mall food courts and is a nice enough spot to take a date. The sandwiches range from $10 to $12 and come with three different bread choices. The Famous Dutch bread is highly recommended. We tried the Lenekea and Meatless Ikes (meatball sub) sandwiches, and both were flavorful and delicious. They offer vegan options by replacing cheese with a special sauce, a type of "dirty aioli" made with vegan mayo. All of their breads are vegan (sourdough, Dutch, and whole wheat) and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. There are about 5 vegan sandwich options available. Overall, Ikes is definitely worth a visit for lunch and is relatively affordable.
I ordered the Meatless Mike without cheese, and the server immediately asked if I wanted it vegan. She also knew to substitute the mayo with vegan mayo. I also ordered the Laniakea (teriyaki vegan chicken) with vegan mayo. You can add lettuce, tomato, onion, or pickle to any sandwich. I was very grateful for the plant-based meat options, but it's Ike's world famous bread that truly sets this sandwich apart!

Order the meatless Mike without cheese and the lady immediately asked if it would be vegan. So she also knew to replace the Mayo with vegan Mayo. Also ordered Laniakea (Teriyaki vegan chicken) with vegan Mayo. You can add salad tomatoes onion or pimples to any sandwich. Very remarkable that they have plant-based meat, but the world-famous bread of the Ike makes this sandwich above average!!
