First time here (for work), will return. Excellent coffee! Had the Wachusett sandwich and carrot cake. Both were very good. As far as the sandwich, it was served on a brioche roll. Lot of roll, not a lot of filling, but tasty. Went to the counter twice, first time got a bit of an attitude when ordering, second time the staff was super sweet. This coffee shop in the heart of Holden, MA is a real treasure! Forget about the big corporate coffee chains like Dunkin' and Starbucks—if you're nearby, this place is definitely worth a visit. Every coffee I've tried is crafted with great care and features friendly, personable service. They offer a delightful selection of pastries and sandwiches that change frequently and have a homemade feel, along with a diverse coffee menu. You won't be disappointed! I paid $6.90 after tax for a microwaved egg and cheese on a croissant—without any meat. It was easily the worst egg I've ever had on a breakfast sandwich. The texture was like jelly, and it was completely lacking in flavor. Even McDonald’s doesn’t microwave their eggs!
The restaurant offers an amazing combination of vibrant city energy and a cozy small-town feel! Since I recently moved to the area, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional food and the warm friendliness of the staff. I really love the artistic mugs, the relaxed atmosphere, the delicious mocha lattes, and their distinctive pastries and dishes. On my first visit, I had a fresh and incredibly tasty breakfast sandwich. Most recently, I tried the Davis Hill sandwich, which features turkey, Gouda, and onion jam—it was absolutely delightful! I highly recommend giving the mocha latte a try!
I'm still unsure about this place. I really wanted to love it because it's so charming. During my first visit, I asked if they had Golden Milk, and the staff looked at me as if I were speaking another language. I brushed it off and ordered a regular coffee instead. On my second visit with my boyfriend, we walked in to find five people behind the counter, but only one customer was being helped. There was no greeting or any acknowledgment—absolutely nothing. After waiting for five minutes, we decided to leave and ended up going to Dunkin'. It's disappointing because we genuinely want to support local businesses.
