My favorite dish was the tomato soup paired with the grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwich includes fresh tomato slices, and it was absolutely delicious.
What a fantastic place! I've been visiting Stephens since I was a child and have witnessed some less-than-ideal changes over the years. However, I'm really excited about the new owners. The management and staff are wonderful; they are the main reason I'll continue to return. And of course, the food is incredible!
I spent decades in NYC and love sandwiches Newman's Jewban Sandwich is a magical combination of Ruben and Cuban sandwiches! Kudos!
While the location is a little out of the way from my home in Pinecrest, I was impressed by this amazingly cozy place. It 's like stepping into a time machine! I went on Henderson Junior Biggers Day, who was hired by the original Stephen 's Deli inNovember 1957 3 years after it opened. He is Udonis Haslem 's grandfather and is retiring this December. That 's what I calldedication and loyalty!???? Started things off with a citrus hazy NA IPA and Latkes, 6 small fried potato pancakes servedwith sour cream apple sauce. Main course was the Newman 's Jewban Sandwich. While the menu claims It was voted one of the 25best sandwiches in the world, it doesn 't begin to describe the flavor of the corned beef! I 'm definitely coming back to thetry the Vegan Chocolate Mousse. Be sure to visit the bathroom for the murals and to access La Cocina speakeasy.
