For me, the Haggerston Pub is a magical place where musicians gather to perform. The jazz sessions, started by Beverly, the former owner, continue every Sunday and some even refer to it as a kind of church—a space where people can truly be themselves. I don’t think I would go to this pub if it were not for the small but interesting art gallery in the basement. The music is not too loud and nice, the beer is reasonably priced and tasted good. However, the customer service is pretty poor, the people behind the bar were more interested in their phones than the customers.
