What Dick Dastardly doesn't like about Escale:
Mediocre. Service so so and starter (buffalo mozzarella and tomato salad) nice. Main was where it went a bit wrong homemade tagliatelle with pesto and gambas. Unfortunately they forgot the gambas! I then had a ten minute wait while my wife ate her main and they prepared my prawns, which weren’t well integrated with the dish when it arrived. Dish was also lukewarm. Pasta overcooked. Lovely sunny terrace and friendly staff, the perfect stop for a cold drink after a long walk.
The pizzas are delicious and the place is charming!
