We had an amazing time here! Meagan made my father's 60th birthday dinner truly special. The cheese curds were melt-in-your-mouth good and disappeared in no time, and the corn dip was just as delicious. The Scotch tasting for my father was fantastic! We thought we would try the restaurant week menu and it was gross. Even though we know tar-tar is raw, we thought it would be ok since it's SUPPOSED to be top quality meat. However, there was a thick ribbon of gristle and texturally chewy pieces that didn't set us up in a good place for the rest of the meal. Salad was ok. Drinks were good. I just moved to the area, and this is definitely the go-to place for everything bourbon. It feels even more authentic than Kentucky!
The restaurant offers an excellent selection of bourbons and a well-curated menu. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and the atmosphere was superb. It’s yet another wonderful dining option in downtown Grand Rapids.
I would highly recommend this place if you're in downtown. My wife and I stopped by for a drink while waiting for a table at Butchers Union, but we were so impressed that we decided to cancel our reservation and stay instead. The owner was extremely friendly and greeted us at the door like an old friend. Definitely check it out!
My first time visiting One Bourbon I enjoyed an old fashioned and it wasn 't whimpy at all! I 'd never had an old fashioned and it tasted great! For my meal I had the Lemon Dill salmon. It was amazing! I was able to swap out the red skin mashed potatoes with green beans! Over all One Bourbon was a hit! I will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
