The restaurant we planned to eat in was closed so looking for a plan B we discovered Matau. The welcome was courteous and friendly. The menu leans towards fish, some raw but that was OK. After we ordered we were offered an amuse bouche of gazpacho with tuna, it was fresh and delicious. Looks very pretty welcoming and we had had coffee here. We went for dinner ordered steak Salmon both were raw cold the vegetables at€6 were described as roasted cremated is a better description. My husband asked for another dish as he could not eat the raw steak the veal arrived looked very unappetising a tasteless very fatty peace of meat in gravy. To add insult to injury they tried to charge for the steak View all feedback.
Absolutely amazing food, staff really friendly, the place was very clean and tidy, the night I went, there was a guitarist on, everyone was up singing and dancing, such a good laugh,

There was no room for desert but the waiter produced some very nice small biscuits to help finish of the wine. This is a very good restaurant with great service. Go there hungry.
Very warm, friendly and professional staff. Owner‘s son 3rd generation . We really got spoiled from the beginning on. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco and got 4 different appetizers on the house. And again before dinner a greeting from the kitchen: a wonderful green pea soup. Everything was delicious but my lobster Pasta was to die for. We felt like VIPˋs.
