Caffe Nero
Menu
A complete menu of Caffe Nero from Gloucester featuring all 5 menus and drinks can be found here on the menu.
Nestled near Gloucester Quays, this bustling café offers a lively atmosphere but struggles with service consistency. While many patrons rave about the excellent coffee and delicious cakes, others lament issues like slow service and a lack of clarity regarding additional charges. The staff, often overstretched, seem well-meaning but sometimes display a noticeable lack of training, leading to misunderstandings and uncomfortable interactions. Additionally, cleanliness is a concern, as tables are not promptly cleared, and noise levels can disrupt the serene environment one might expect. Overall, this venue presents a mixed bag of experiences, leaving room for improvement.

Was Kieran Mitchell at Caffe Nero a mag?
Visited Gloucester City, to visit the Cathedral. Very beautiful architecture but feel Tewkesbury Abbey is the better architectural place to visit. While in Gloucester had a coffee in Cafe Nero. Pleasant outside seating area, of course for smokers. Inside good seating, also comfortable seating. Coffee...always good in Cafe Nero. Excellent choice of cakes and sandwiches. Clean and pleasant. What Zachary Anderson dislikes about Caffe Nero:
the coffee seemed weak and tasteless and the scone was clear old and stale. if we hadn't hurry, we would have complained. the service was slow because the barely supervised training View all feedback.
The drink was only half full and one of the drinks was incorrect (a milk and saw drink). It made me feel uncomfortable and sick. When I asked for the order to be corrected, the staff had a rude attitude and seemed annoyed. They kept asking about the missing drink instead of fixing both drinks. Even when the first replacement drink was also wrong.
Busy large store with indoor outdoor seating, I had a mango passion fruit cooler but they've replaced the large plastic straws with very thin paper ones since I last had a cold drink it was very difficult to get any drink out...of the container, as thick liquid very thin straws just don't go. I was served by a nice member of staff, but unfortunately the time I got there was too noisy with screaming young children running around making every bodies peace quiet time shattered, as the people in there were either reading books or on their laptops, the staff didn't look happy either so I don't think its a regular occurrence.
Fairly spacious coffee shop in a good location convenient for Gloucester Quays and Gloucester docks. Quick and helpful service. Cortado and pain au raisin I’m happy!

A drink ordered here, was offered cream etc. but not informed that they were an additional price. so I had not enough money to pay, then they informed me that they did not even accept cash anyway! but there is no sign to inform the customer. I should have gone away and left the drink to waste, but I paid irresistibly with my card. it is safe against the law not to inform customers about these things before they buy. the girl was polite, but obviously needs to continue training.
