Always a pleasant experience to dine at this cafe. The verandah seating in the warm sun is a perfect brunch setting. The service and the food always pleasant. I had the poached eggs on toast with Yuga tomato and capsicum relish with a soy latte and my friend had the farmers breakfast and soy cappucino. View all feedback.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and can particularly recommend the tea smoked trout salad which was delicious. There are a variety of spaces both inside and out to suit everyone. Will be back.
The restaurant serves great food. I enjoyed my chicken burger plate which was rich and delicious. I enjoyed the Pineapple and ginger freshly prepared juice. I had a look at other plates served to guests sitting near me and I could see the nicely decorated plates that are worthy of a Facebookish/Instagrammish photo before ever touching the plate :)But that's not all. The minute you step in you feel the vibes in the restaurant. friendly, welcoming and sincere. I couldn't tell the owner from staff. Everyone was responsible, hospitable, and checking in on you.Great place to eat and feel at home in deed.
Yuga is a fun place to gather with friends. The menu is varied and interesting with regular specials. The Sicilian owner is very hospitable and makes a great coffee. His Japanese wife provides the beautiful flowers and also has classes in ikebana. They have regular displays of local artists on the walls. There is an outdoor terrace, a lovely back courtyard and lots of indoor tables. Great for breakfast or lunch.
I always have a wonderful experience dining at this cafe. The outdoor seating on the verandah, basking in the warm sun, makes for an ideal brunch atmosphere. The service is consistently friendly, and the food is delightful. I ordered the poached eggs on toast ($9), accompanied by a Yuga tomato and capsicum relish, along with a soy latte. My friend enjoyed the farmer's breakfast ($13.50) and a soy cappuccino.
Yuga is a café, art gallery and flower shop all rolled into one, at 172 St John's Road, Glebe. It's currently featuring an exhibition of one-flower vases by Chippendale ceramicist Keiko Matsui . The food was simply prepared and nicely presented; my prosciutto, asparagus and fetta quiche had perfectly buttery pastry and I also had a delicious fresh apple juice (the raspberry, cranberry and lemon frappé was also excellent).
