Glebe Point Diner offers a gorgeous outdoor seating area with attentive and friendly service. The bistro-style food may be basic, but the dishes are cooked well. Some reviewers mentioned smaller food portions and the need for more substantial sides. However, the lemon tart dessert received positive feedback. Despite some inconsistencies in experiences, the restaurant is praised for its value, service, and daily specials. Dishes like gnocchi, pate, steak, and unique desserts like bay leaf custard with apple crumble have been highlighted. With prices ranging from $55 for a three-course meal to $370 for three people with wine, the restaurant is recognized for its excellent value. Heralded as a neighborhood gem, Glebe Point Diner has received rave reviews for its recent improvements under new management, leading to exceptional dining experiences for patrons.
What Darren Wunsch likes about Glebe Point Diner:
This restaurant is our go to restaurant in the area. Very well priced (3 people; 3 course each, 2 bottles of wine, 2 glasses of prosecco and a beer = $370).Great value and excellent service - friendly but professional. I've never had a bad meal here. They always have daily specials which are worth trying. Their menu doesn't change a lot but that is a good thing. My go to is always the pate followed by steak. What Magali Hahn doesn't like about Glebe Point Diner:
Gorgeous outside seating, attentive, friendly & knowledgable service. Basic bistro style food. My friend & I ordered fish. The trout was a small serve albeit cooked well. The snapper was served whole, though again a smaller serve. We certainly could have done with some more substantial sides. The lemon tart dessert was decent. Would go back to try more dishes.
