Description

Despite receiving mixed reviews, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are generally considered delicious. The Tea Salad and onion fritters are especially praised, while the Fish Curry has been noted for being light on curry but still worth ordering. The service is described as adequate, with some guests enjoying attentive waiting staff while others noted issues with management. Some diners found the overall experience underwhelming compared to their expectations. However, others enjoyed their meals and highlighted the exceptional service, recommending the restaurant to others. Ultimately, while the restaurant may not match up to the standards of bigger establishments, it provides a decent dining experience with good food and service.

Decided to try this place out for my BFF’s birthday lunch and was not disappointed! We enjoyed the atmosphere, the wine and the food! We tried a variety of things on the menu and really enjoyed the presentation, freshness and taste of the food. Wehad fried pickles, chips and queso, street tacos (both kinds) and the grilled Caesar salad that had REAL grilled romaine lettucethat had a WONDERFUL/ unique taste to it. We LOVED it! Our waitress, Carla was really sweet and attentive and we really enjoyedourselves.

We wanted to try Brix and Ale for the Sunday brunch buffet, as photos in past reviews looked great. We obviously missed the memo that the buffet wasn’t happening anymore. We were instead offered the Sunday brunch menu. The food was just ok and definitelyoverpriced. My burger actually was missing described ingredients. On the plus side, we had the lovely restaurant to ourselvesfor most of our meal and the service was good. No telling if other times of the day or of the week are better. Overalldisappointing.

It was prix-fixe for Thanksgiving, but we were told there was no bread. Saw others being served rolls as we were leaving. Gravy was truly awful..a warm, gelatinous blob. Worst green bean casserole I've ever had. Just all around disappointing.

Brix and Ale is a restaurant you want to visit in Georgetown. Each dish was crafted beautifully and was thoughtfully paired with their crafted drinks and local wine. Chef Executive Robert G. Felios III and his team provided us with phenomenal small townTexas hospitality. It was a dining experience I will not forget and more of a reason to visit Georgetown! Pictured hereis: Halibut Steak, shaved carrots, asparagus, watermelon radishes, with roasted yellow bell pepper coulis, and capers Broiledribeye, seared quail, blackberry compote, pea purée, shredded Yukon potatoes Brix Crab Cake, Chipotle Aoili, arugula saladtossed in remoulade Vanilla crème brûlée topped with strawberry Warm bread pudding with bourbon caramel and vanilla icecream

Brix used to be a nice little restaurant. But it has really gone downhill. The prices are very high. $20 for a burger. $20 for two tacos. Under entrees they only had a single non handheld entree under $45. It would be okay if the quality matched thepricing. But the beef in the $20 tacos was tough as leather. My $14 Texas tini, which is their take on a Mexican martini, wasterrible. They also only seemed to have a single server for the entire restaurant. I understand staffing is hard right now butthere was a bartender doing nothing and three people at the host stand. It took 30 minutes before we were able to even give ourdrink order and when we were ready to go I had to literally physically walk to they kitchen to get the server so I could pay. This level of service is simply inexcusable at this price level.
