Despite receiving mixed reviews, this restaurant offers a variety of dishes that are generally considered delicious. The Tea Salad and onion fritters are especially praised, while the Fish Curry has been noted for being light on curry but still worth ordering. My coworkers and I had a reservation for 12 noon and were seated promptly. We were excited to try a Burmese restaurant as they are rare in the area. Although we were not in a hurry, the restaurant seemed to be rushing us. We ordered drinks and they immediately wanted us to order our food as well. We decided to wait until our drinks arrived before ordering our food. We chose the Burmese-style beef and goat stew, as well as the Moh Hin Ga (Fish Noodle Soup). While the sauces in the meat stews were decent, the meat itself was tough and not very tender. If you enjoy chewy meat, then these dishes might be for you. The Moh Hin Ga lacked flavor and one of my coworkers said they would not order it again. The soft drinks and iced tea were refilled for free. Overall, due to the rushed service and mediocre food, we will not be returning. Despite their high Yelp ratings, it seems like many patrons enjoy the restaurant. Perhaps we just caught them on a bad day or their usual chef was not working that day.
We enjoyed our meal here very much. We had a variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. Even though we all requested different spiciness levels, everything came out exactly as requested. The service was exceptional. We were able to have a conversation without being interrupted, but we never had to wait for service and our water glasses were never empty. We will be going back, and recommending this restaurant to our friends.
Decided to try this place out for my BFF’s birthday lunch and was not disappointed! We enjoyed the atmosphere, the wine and the food! We tried a variety of things on the menu and really enjoyed the presentation, freshness and taste of the food. Wehad fried pickles, chips and queso, street tacos (both kinds) and the grilled Caesar salad that had REAL grilled romaine lettucethat had a WONDERFUL/ unique taste to it. We LOVED it! Our waitress, Carla was really sweet and attentive and we really enjoyedourselves.
It was prix-fixe for Thanksgiving, but we were told there was no bread. Saw others being served rolls as we were leaving. Gravy was truly awful..a warm, gelatinous blob. Worst green bean casserole I've ever had. Just all around disappointing.
