I will always remember the salat plate. it's one of the best salates I've ever had. the dressing and the mix of ingredients, the sweet, the boiled eggs that all came together beautiful. the salate in the black forest area. different in style than what I had in other countries. absolutely loved. What Clementine Medhurst dislikes about Schatull:
it is a kind of choice if you don't want to spend much money and don't care about the quality of eating, this is the right restaurant. for me was too much and too much bite and heavy bites. the flame cake is in order, but it is a choice. View all feedback.
I am always going to remember the Salatplatte Marché. It's one of the best salads I have ever had. This was our second holiday in Gengenbach and again we dined at Schatull nearly every night. There are other excellent restaurants in Gengenbach but none come close to the value, atmosphere, service and great food in Schatull. Indoor and outdoor tables. Good range of beer,...wine and spirits too. Naturally, we spoke German as much as we could but they even have an English menu and the helpful staff speak enough English to help out
Loved it here. Very nicely decorated inside and pleasant staff. They have an English menu which is useful instead of relying on google translate. Food arrived after a short wait and was delicious with generous portions. Very well priced too
A lovely, very cozy inn, beautifully decorated, excellent and delicious food, very nice owner, somewhat unenthusiastic waitress, but definitely recommended.
Book in advance! Tasty food, interwsting venue. Wine seemed very light and they did not have what we wanted from food and drinks eventhough we can at 6pm, which is very early for dinner. Howrver, foodwise we liked this place the most.
