Tucked in Gallatin, this locally owned spot pairs warm, engaged service with a sunny rear deck that’s perfect in pleasant weather. Classics like fried green tomatoes and Julian vegetables shine, portions are generous and prices reasonable. Most meals arrive hot and fresh, though cooking can be inconsistent (notably burgers) and seasoning sometimes mild. Guests praise cleanliness, friendly staff and owner involvement; parking is available behind the building but lacks signage. A dependable, homey choice for casual dates, visitors and neighborhood meals.
Friendliness of staff was biggest impact of rating, short-handed and balancing multiple positions. Speed of serving drinks and food was normal, food arrived fresh and hot. Seasoning level of items ordered were more bland than I desired. Overall the friendly staff left a great impression and I will return and hopefully they will be fully staffed and just as friendly!
I go here several times a week and have NEVER been disappointed. I always have either the bacon wrapped meatloaf with Julienne Veggies and white beans.. Or instead of the flat tire chicken They graciously change it to blackened chicken with the same sides as the Meatloaf. I on occasion I have a rib-eye steak, but Om Gosh the serving is so huge I feel like I'm at the 72 OZ steakhouse in Texas!!
My boyfriend and I went to Starr Ranch for a date night . Great atmosphere. Fried green tomatoes were amazing. We each got a ribeye steak
Didn't eat here. Popped in for cocktails. The menu looked delicious. The drinks were awesome. Service was spot-on. I want to return for the food.
Food was pretty decent. Nothing extraordinary. Service was good. Expensive for what you get honestly. Parking is in the back and you have to figure that out. There weren't any signs that i saw. Didn't hate it but not thinking I will return.
