**Afternoon: A Culinary Gem in Gainesville** Afternoon is a delightful eatery renowned for its cozy atmosphere and commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Diners can enjoy a diverse menu featuring enticing dishes like the celebrated Shakshuka and superb poached eggs served with unique combinations. While the lavender iced tea received mixed reviews, the overall experience is enhanced by friendly service and a charming environment, complete with both indoor and outdoor seating. Signature items, including the cheese-filled brioche and crispy kartoffels, have garnered rave reviews, making this spot a must-visit for breakfast enthusiasts and brunch lovers alike.
We ordered the classic breakfast and the karaage chicken. The food was certainly better than average; however, I typically choose a classic breakfast at most breakfast and brunch spots, and I usually leave feeling full. Unfortunately, I was still a bit hungry after my meal, which suggests there wasn't a substantial portion. On a positive note, I really enjoyed their tomato danish and appreciated the creativity they put into some of their dishes. I would definitely return to try something else from the menu.
Many restaurants don't serve Dutch babies because they take a long time to prepare, so it was a pleasure to have someone else make one for me. The service was friendly, and the menu offered a great variety of both sweet and savory options. However, I wasn't a fan of the lavender iced tea; I found it undrinkable, and adding sugar didn't improve it.
I’m thrilled to have just found this exceptional breakfast spot in Gainesville! The food is delicious, fresh, and sourced from local farms. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. I can't wait to come back! Food rating: 5/5.
A hidden gem in an emerging neighborhood. Great place for breakfast and brunch. Amazing dutch baby and eggs Benedict. The Benedict had a crispy sage taste. The dutch baby was light and perfect. Kitchen patio atmosphere. Plenty of parking andsunshine
A very quite eatery by the street, clean and simple, with indoor and out door tables, with college music ???? in the background : Good service and food. The salmon is fresh, however, two small dark pieces tucked under is inedible and unamusing. Lovetheir little saucer they provide it for the tea bag.
