Was Anonym at Lockleys Hotel a mag?
Had dinner there and the rib steak was beautiful. Very tasty indeed. Came to us still sizzling.. very nice indeed. Plus the waitresses there with great knowledge of their food and environment, very happy indeed View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Lockleys Hotel:
This was a terrible experience for an overnight stay! There was loud music playing until 3am and when I asked them to turn it down, they said it stays on until 3am. It was impossible to shower with the black shower curtain closed because it was so dark. The whole place seemed very outdated. The main hallway light was left on all night, shining bright into the bedrooms making it hard to sleep. I would never stay here... View all feedback.

Family get together in the afternoon led to a need to get a meal. Called and booked into the Lockley's Hotel. 3 had steaks that were presented cooked as requested. 1 Had a Chicken Chermoula (with Moroccan herbs and spices. This was reported as being very good but cam to the table not hot enough. Salads were very good too.Wine list had a fair variation in the selection, both in type of wine and price.
We called in on the off chance they would have room for 4 without a booking and they were most helpful. food was plentiful and tasty. could have had a doggy bag if we had wanted. the steak and garlic prawn was lovely. as was the herb bread. plenty of fresh salad to choose from.
Do not visit this restaurant for birthdays! They charge a $25 fee for eating cake, which is very disappointing. The carpet is in poor condition with sticky tape on the floor. They should take notes from other pubs in the area that do not charge extra for bringing a cake for birthdays. It was evident to their staff that this policy is wrong. Lockleys needs to improve their service before they are forced to close down.
The Lockleys is within 1 k of my house. I go there regularly .They seem to update their menu regularly. Every day of the week is at least one special .ie Monday and Thursday are 20 dollar steak nights .Good quality . They also have a specials board . Last night I had the Sunday night roast and dessert special for 24 dollars .Very nice . Service is great .Staff are friendly .Did I mention their cocktails and great wine list .
