Maybe it was because I eaten from the lunch menu instead of the vegan menu, but I ordered 3 vegan nets and they were okay. Nothing special. But every main was just £6.90, so maybe you really get what you pay. The Gado, Gado Tofu Salad was very beautiful and special. The peanut spicy sauce was exquisite. Cocome is a fantastic addition to Folkestone's restaurant scene, offering a wide variety of options for vegans. The restaurant has clearly put a lot of effort into creating a thoughtfully crafted vegan menu. As a large group of mostly vegan and vegetarian diners, we were able to enjoy a main dish each and share several sides. I opted for the delicious gado gado bowl, which was fresh and flavorful. The pak choi, edamame, tempura vegetables, and ginger sesame slaw were all excellent accompaniments. The dim sum starter had a lovely smoked garlic flavor, and the gado gado was particularly tasty with its sweet and nutty peanut sauce. The interior of the restaurant is stylish yet relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual meal with friends or a special dinner with a loved one. The location near the Leas Cliff Hall also makes it convenient for pre-show dining. The service was friendly and attentive, and they even comped us a round of drinks to make up for a slight delay in our food, which we hadn't even noticed due to our lively conversation. Since my initial visit, I have returned for lunch and dinner, trying the katsu bento box and katsu curry, both of which were delicious and less oily than versions I've had elsewhere. I also sampled the shiitake barobacke, which was unexpectedly tasty, as well as the scallion noodles, which were simple yet beautifully executed. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. Overall, Cocome is a top-notch dining destination for vegans and non-vegans alike.
Perhaps it was because I ordered from the lunch menu instead of the vegan menu, but the 3 vegan dishes I ordered were just okay, nothing too special. However, they were reasonably priced at £6.90 each. The Gado Gado tofu salad was exceptional and stood out with its delicious fruity sauce. Unfortunately, the Tofu Curry and noodles were not as impressive. Overall, I would give three stars for the salad and the excellent service provided by the staff, who were very helpful, attentive, and friendly. They made the dining experience worthwhile. I plan to visit again and try the standard vegan menu next time, along with getting some cooking recommendations.

A really good addition to Folkestone's restaurant scene, Cocomee has many choices for vegans and has put a lot of thoughts into her vegan menu. As a large group of most vegans and vegetarians we could all get a main dish and share some pages. I had the Gado Gado bowl that was delicious, and the sides of pak choi, edamame, tempura vegetables and ginger sesame Slav were all really delicious supplements. The Dimm-Summestarter had a nice smoked garlic taste while the Gado Gado was fresh and filled with a sweet, nutty peanut sauce. The interior is really smart and relaxed, it is a great place for a solemn meal with friends or family, or for a romantic meal. It's just a few minutes away from the Leas Cliff Hall, so it's also perfect for an appetizer. Service was good and friendly, in fact they gave us a free round of drinks to apologize for a delay with our food (which we had not even noticed how we talked so much so that I can't blame them at all. Edit: 21/05/2022 Since my first visit several times have returned. Once for a lunchtime meal, where I tried the Katsu Bento box, and an evening meal where I had Katsu Curry, which was delicious and less oily than the Wagamama version. I also had a Shishatake Bao bunge that was delicious (I am not usually a big mushroom fan, but I will make an exception! and the small noodles that were really simple but so beautiful. I will try another visit and order the standard vegan menu and get some cooking recommendations.
