Amore - Floyds Knobs
Amore
Description
Nestled at the back of a shopping center, this cozy Italian spot delivers rich, expertly prepared classics, generous portions and standout desserts. Guests praise attentive, knowledgeable staff and a spirited bar program — craft beers, a small wine list and memorable cocktails. The room is lively and musical, ideal for date nights and celebrations, though popularity means waits and reservations are advised. Occasional slow service and rare overcooked seafood are mentioned, but overall quality, flavor and value make it a local favorite worth discovering.
Feedback
I stole my wife for the bad date night we never have. Wasn't disappointed. I have the Chicken Parmigiana, and the woman got beef-denderloin missions. Both meals were delicious, large portions and we could have many leftovers the next day. We were impressed and will be back
The food was great and the atmosphere was also beautiful. We waited a few minutes to sit before any employees noticed us. Our server was not as attentive as I expected and had to be reminded of bringing the wine that was ordered, but overall a good experience. We will return and I am happy to have a high quality Italian restaurant so close to home.
Amore is located in a shopping center, on the back, easy to overlook. But not! We stayed on Thursday evening without reservation. We sat right away, but the house was almost full. We started with beautiful rustic bread, served with garlic bread. A perfect little appetizer as we have penetrated the menu. A beautiful assortment of pastas, ducks and meal salads. Besides, several nightly specialties. Hubby chose Lasagne, I chose a special Chicken Kennedy. Portions were more than sufficient and the food was delicious. Some of the best Italian food I've had for years! Rich, tasteful and competently prepared. We have rooms for dessert (not easy to do! and chose the 7-layer carrot cake. If you are a fan of carrot cake, don't miss this! Moist, spicy and not excessively sweet with the correct amount of cream cheese frosting. The portion is huge! There is a complete bar, a small wine card and a beer list with some crafts. Service was friendly, comprehensible and attentive. If you want to go on a weekend get reservations!
The food is wonderful. Everything was delicious and portions were at least generous. The staff is very polite and attentive. They also have a remarkable knowledge of the foods served as preparation and ingredients. The cocktails were well made and you get your money worth when it comes to kick. I liked the Sinatra Smash especially. The Manhattan was potent, but tasteful, and you can never go wrong with an old fashion. The only complaint I could think of for Amore is that it is not big enough, but there is something exactly the right thing where it is, inconceivable in this mall, which makes it a little more like a hidden jewel for locals. That is said, make a reservation if you want to be sure to get for a good meal.
