What Anonym dislikes about Migone:
I am not sure that this place has a reason to be listed on happy kuh as vegan options are very limited and not clearly marked. for example, I saw two different types of cacao panforte, one in the ingredient list had honey and the other had it not, and they were both placed at the same place! also every piece of panpepato I saw had honey in it, so they probably changed the recipe when this place was first checked. Quaint little candy shop by the Duomo. The window display was so attractive and colorful that we stumbled right in after walking around the Duomo. We bought some panforte and marzipan bars to bring back home to friends and family. But we ended up eating them all ourselves! So we kept coming back for more. It’s a family owned and ran business. They don’t ship nor do they have a website. So be sure to stop by Migone to satisfy your sweet cravings. You won’t be disappointed.
I have been coming to this candy shop for almost 40 years and I believe they make the best chocolates in all of Italy. The handmade candies are a bit expensive but if you value quality over quantity then this is the store for you. I particularly enjoy the chocolate covered orange peel, but everything is great. And if your a fan of marzipan then you will love it here.
We stumbled on Migone looking for gifts to bring home. The shop sells all manner of sweets from nougat to chocolates all delightfully displayed and packaged. The boxes in the shape of the Duomo were especially captivating. Migone has been in business since 1906 so that says a lot about the quality of their goods.
Nice sweet shop which the kids liked it looks fabulous. Is pretty expensive though for what you get I must say. If I lived in Firenze I wouldn’t go here as a local.
The first time I stopped here was in 2018.left with an assortment of candy including conoscete le gocce di rosolio (which we nicknamed little drops of heaven . On this trip to Florence in May 2023 I specifically made a trip for this candy. Just as good as I remembered. Wonderful service and left with more treats than I came in for.
