For a family gathering, we reserved cold dishes and seats for 40 people..it was set for 28 people! ?? no problem, we asked for another table, there were still quite a few of us standing, no problem, a couple of us pushed for a standing reception..for 4 people I asked for meat, eggs and cheese-free food.
