Nestled on Whidbey Island, this cozy taproom offers a rustic, welcoming atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff who make regulars feel right at home. The menu features creative twists on classic pub fare, highlighting crispy burgers, flavorful tacos, and standout appetizers like tater tots with chipotle aioli and homemade queso-topped nachos. A strong selection of Northwest beers and unique ciders complements the food well. While some seafood dishes and salads can be inconsistent and the space can get smoky, the overall experience is relaxed and satisfying—a great choice for casual dining or drinks with friends, especially on quieter weekday nights.

The selection of rotating beers at the south end is outstanding. There’s always something new to try. I do wish they offered the local cedar from Hahn, though. View all feedback.
What Ellen Middleton dislikes about Taproom@bayview Corner:
I ordered the cod sandwich special and was quite disappointed. It was very oily, with more breading than fish, and lacked flavor. On a positive note, the tater tots were good. However, they were out of mussels, Caesar salad, and other pub grub options. View all feedback.

This bar is absolutely delightful, and I can't recommend it enough! The nachos, topped with homemade queso dip, are simply amazing, and the carnitas are among the best I’ve ever had in my long nacho-eating experience. They also offer an impressive selection of beers from the Great Northwest.
I would have given this place 5 stars, but we waited 20 minutes before the bartender finally attended to us. It was busy, and the waitress seemed a bit disorganized and overwhelmed. However, the BLT was probably the best I’ve ever had, and the bartender was fantastic!
On this island we don't have a lot of choices for dinner on Monday night. If Monday is the night you are looking for dinner, the TAPROOM is a good choice. The menu is not long, but the tacos, flank steak or shrimp, and the Fall Salad, served year round are beautiful food. It's noisy and rustic. We are fortunate to have it.
