Feedback
**Le Tour: A Culinary Journey with High Hopes and Mixed Results** Nestled in Evanston, Le Tour offers a vibrant atmosphere and a unique fusion of French and Moroccan cuisine. Guests appreciate the warm ambiance and attentive service, but many find the food's execution inconsistent. While dishes like the sea bass crudo and mushroom kebabs receive praise, others, such as the steak fries and certain desserts, fall flat. The high prices have also raised eyebrows, with many diners expressing disappointment over value. Though some plan to return for another taste, others remain hesitant, reflecting a dining experience that promises much yet occasionally misses the mark.
Server was terrific. Loved the soupe de poisson and lamb couscous; guests indicated skatefish good as well. Wine service excellent, not ludicrously overpriced. Compares favorably to some of our other French places eg Bistrnomic and even Obelix the gold standard these days).
Food delicious. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu. Fun cocktails. Service excellent.
The food and ambiance was outstanding!!! The gin and tonic was the best g and t I’ve ever tasted. Homemade tonic! Yum!
This is a lively restaurant with a creative menu—mostly fish and meat. Combination of French and Moroccan preparations. We thought the food was excellent and the prices were appropriate, but it took forever to get our food. about 45 minutes from the time we ordered. That is too long, even for an upscale, leisurely restaurant. The server was very polite and checked on us a couple times. We would love to go back if they improve their timing.
Very disappointed! the ordered steak fries, was $36 on the menu, but was said the cut was updated and now raise $52, almost 45%. . . . and it had no taste to him at all. salatlyonnaise was dry, did not seem to have any suits and the ice was almost hard cooked! add 2 drinks and it was over $125. had the actie in the barn last week and it was delicious, so this was very disappointing!
