Founded in the late 1950s, La Fiesta has a rich family history that started with original founders Josefina (Josie) and Pete Nieto. Originally known as El Patio in Erie, the restaurant later moved to a larger location in Monroe before finally settling in La Salle on Dixie Hwy. In 1983, after over two decades in business, Josie and Pete retired and passed the restaurant on to their friends, the Canales family, led by Jose Victoria. With Jose at the helm, the business expanded on South Dixie until they eventually built the location that stands today.
