The Swiss Chalet restaurant located at Manning offers a Quarter Chicken Dinner that is relatively fresh and not dry, with an okay taste. However, the Thanksgiving Promo did not meet expectations, with small portions and overcooked baked potato. The service was lacking, with a waitress who seemed disinterested and multiple issues with cutlery and order delivery. One customer even had to return due to missing items in their takeout order. Despite these negative experiences, other diners found the staff to be fantastic and attentive, with delicious meals and friendly service. The owner even came to ensure a positive dining experience. The half chicken combo with fries is recommended as a good value option, although customer service in resolving complaints may be lacking. Overall, the Swiss Chalet Manning location offers a satisfying Canadian dining experience, with room for improvement in certain aspects such as taste consistency and customer service resolution.
One thing i can tell for sure.... is that it is fastless than 60 seconds after my order my plate was served!chicken is good. but the coleslaw was floating in the mayonnaisekitchen is VERY noisy..... likes the cook dont really care.the waitress had a bad cold and she was caughing.... i dont thing she should have been working.
Went in just wanting an ok meal - staff were fantastic and very attentive. Was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The dinner was good and we had a great night.
Been here a number of times and have always been impressed with the sevice and the great food good selection and always hot sugest getting there early as fills up fast a meal times
My wife and I went to this location to have their festive special, we usually go to another Swiss Chalet which was closed for reno's, the server seemed to be the only one working at the time which is odd for a Sunday lunch crowd, she seemed very rushed the food was not up to Swiss Chalet standards at all very dry chicken not hot at all, if you want a festive meal try another location.
I guess the food was okay. Why I’m giving a poor review was the service. The waitress really wanted to be anywhere other than serving at the restaurant. Now we were seated promptly and asked to order our drinks right away. From there everything went downhill. I ordered first and once the other three people had ordered the waitress turned to me again. There were four people in the party but only three sets of cutlery – we had to ask the waitress several times for a fourth set., Three of the four meals arrived promptly however the fourth meal didn’t arrive until the meals served first were stone cold. And although two people in the party ordered ribs it was a battle of will with the waitress to get finger bowls or extra napkins. My advice is that unless you just have to have Swiss Chalet eat elsewhere.
