The restaurant offers a delightful menu highlighted by expertly prepared starters, particularly the chicken terrine, and generally delicious homemade meals. While the food quality varies, with occasional disappointments in main courses, the warm and friendly service from staff creates a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests returning. However, some diners express frustrations with slow service and inconsistent menu availability. Despite these drawbacks, many appreciate the delightful setting and local charm, making it a popular spot for families and groups alike. Whether it's a leisurely lunch or a special occasion, this establishment continues to be a favored destination for food lovers.
We have visited The Three Dolch seven times now and have thoroughly enjoyed lunch, dinner, and Sunday roasts each time. I can't recommend it enough! The interior is beautiful, it's dog-friendly, and the staff are excellent. The food is absolutely top-notch, made with seasonal ingredients and offering a wide variety of choices with generous portions. It's perfect for a date night, a family dinner, or a delicious roast after a lovely walk. While it's not the cheapest option, you definitely get what you pay for in terms of quality.
Eating is easy to die. great personal and beautiful ambiente. always ask to be loved next to the fire
We started our visit with drinks and some baked goods from the farm, and then decided to have lunch at the pub. The coffee at the farm is exceptional. The pub offers fresh, homemade food that is absolutely delicious. We ended up spending almost the entire day there, and the kids were happily playing in the park. We will definitely be returning!
We thoroughly enjoyed the starters, especially the chicken terrine, which was bursting with fantastic flavors and expertly prepared. The main courses were decent, but they were unfortunately marred by frozen fish that tasted similar to what you'd find in a supermarket. The “tagliatelle” was particularly disappointing; it was mushy and resembled baby food, with the only flavor coming from wilted spinach. I couldn't even finish it. We didn't have the chance to try the desserts, so I can't comment on those. Overall, if it weren't for the outstanding service provided by the wonderful female server, our experience would have been quite mediocre. Her attentiveness and positive energy made all the difference. She definitely deserves a pay raise!
