Feedback
Indigo Yard is consistently singled out as a lively Edinburgh spot for cocktails, chilled courtyard drinks and a stylish, convivial atmosphere. Guests praise the extensive cocktail list, friendly staff and the design touches — mezzanine seating and an old-stone interior — that make it feel both relaxed and a little special. It’s a popular after-work and weekend destination, with live music and outdoor couches that suit groups, hen parties and alfresco evenings.
Dining impressions are mixed: promotions and set-menu deals earn strong marks for value, while full-price mains can be hit-or-miss. Service is generally warm and efficient, though busy nights can be bustling and noisy. Booking is recommended for weekends and larger groups.
Cool Bar! Great Vibe! Top Selection of Beers on Tap! Pretty Fab Cocktail Menu (exceptional mojito)! Great Afterwork Spot or Late Night Out!
Indigo Yard looks amazing, the decor is authentically modern, with a nice "bookcase style" bar (with a little ladder for getting certain wines and
Great experience here today for lunch! Went on a Sunday and no wait, not busy at all. Super friendly server. Cocktails were great and food good as well! Would definitely go to again maybe just for drinks though. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Ok so the one star is for attention purposes I’m afraid. I usually love I.Y (it’s a go to usually for drinks and food! and usually no complaints however today I ordered the GF cheese burger what I got was the burger (and poorly put together simply slapped in between two dry slices of bread. This is incredibly lazy and poor quality in comparison to other places that offer GF burgers. It isn’t hard surely to have some form of actual GF burger buns!! I have them at home all the time. I should have said something but our server was so lovely I just didn’t appreciate still being charged the full price for something that was somewhat ridiculous. While it’s great that I.Y have a dedicated allergens menu PLEASE do better than this. Just because someone is GF doesn’t mean they have to receive less than. Moaning aside the service was excellent we were seated upstairs and the atmosphere was great as always. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
