Menu

The recent dining experience at Wetherspoons presents a mix of highs and lows. The pub, recently remodeled and bustling with an energetic ambiance, offers convenient app ordering for those dining solo. Service is generally quick, with some guests praising the staff's attentiveness amid the crowd. However, the food quality is inconsistent; while some dishes like breakfast and fish and chips please patrons, others report underwhelming meals, such as rubbery burgers and cold dishes. There have also been concerns regarding cleanliness and restroom access. Overall, while the atmosphere and convenience attract patrons, the food quality leaves room for improvement.

Early start this morning so booked out before even the continental breakfast was on offer, 1 hour flight later, arrived in Edinburgh Airport, headed straight for Wetherspoons bit of faf with on line booking so did it the old way and ordered the Eggs Benedict. Was done just perfect, thanks View all feedback.
What TartanWanderer dislikes about The Sir Walter Scott J D Wetherspoon:
As sometimes happens in any pub they were out of my favourite beer. That said, I got a decent pint, staff were great and service was fast. It is a vast pub and has recently been remodelled. View all feedback.
Always good to have whisky and pint before morning flight. Pub very busy as usual, Staff very friendly and working very hard
Whisky was very tasty and wet. Great quick service even busy morning Restaurant have very good atmosphere.Come back again for sure. Thanks
Catching a morning flight from Edinburgh airport to Geneva airport and it was time to fuel myself up for the flight ahead, I fancied a huge cooked breakfast so headed to the nearest Wetherspoons, The Sir Walter Scott. This is clearly a very busy Wetherspoons as it was absolutely rammed but I still managed to find myself a table. I went to the bar and asked for two large breakfasts but to be put on one plate much to the shock and slight amusement of the lady serving me, I also asked for a refillable coffee. Food came pretty quickly and the plate they served it up on was absolutely huge, it was typical standard Wetherspoons quality, you know what to expect visiting these pubs and I throughly enjoyed what was served up, it hit the spot.
A convenient spot to grab some craft beers and food while waiting for your flight. It can get quite crowded though! The beer selection is typically great, and you can't go wrong with a bacon roll for breakfast.
Worst burger and chips maybe forever. Wish I had walked another 20ft to Burger King then come back for a pint. Burger rubber and warm. Chips passable. Wotherspoons used to be so good….
