What goldfishnot dislikes about Edensor Tea Cottage:
Friendly welcome and service, but very slow. The tea was good but I had to ask for hot water. The spoons were very cheap canteen-type ones. We shared a scone, it had been warmed up but seemed a little stale. The jam was a bit... View all feedback.
We visited this place after a lovely walk through chatsworth park, and what a wonderful place! The management have truly made this a wonderful venue with superb decoration and furnishings. We had booked the autumn afternoon tea and it was absolutely delightful! The little soup cup was delicious to start and the sandwiches were soft and fresh. Following this we had scones and other little seasonal cakes (we had to take some home, which were kindly boxed up), all delicious. Our server Becky was brilliant and we felt really looked after, and the young lady who was the barista Queen (Holly) was also making sure we had plenty of tea. We will definitely be back as we live very local and would highly recommend to all.
Looks a lovely place, travelled a distance to get here. A party of 5 for lunch....sadly the chef wasn 't taking orders of hot food as he was too busy. Not really sure what they expect to happen at 1 pm. Was informed we could have cake or a sandwich. Or wait for 30 mins 'or so ' until he was taking orders again! Hope they can continue to operate when turning away this amount of custom...
I went for lunch just a sandwich on a Saturday. I waited and waited and!! you get the idea I left !
My husband and I went to the tea rooms with my cousin's wife. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a table for just over an hour as it was booked for 1pm. The staff were all very friendly and we all enjoyed the tomato...
After a pleasant walk from Baslow to Edensor, we were greeted by helpful and friendly staff at the restaurant. They were quick with serving delicious locally sourced dishes. We often make reservations for the opening hours and have always been satisfied with our meals. The house-made compote is a wonderful alternative to traditional jam. The village of Edensor adds to the charming ambiance of the restaurant.
