Oh my goodness. This restaurant is strange. It looks nothing like the website or other pictures. There are no appealing meat dishes, as I was disappointed with the only steak option I got. It was even worse than what you would find at a Harvester. My wife ordered the Gammon, but we had to send it back. The service was terrible. There is no ambiance and it doesn't feel like a proper restaurant. I have serious doubts about the authenticity of other reviews. Stay away from this place!!! The menu posted below does not reflect a true "Butcher's delight".
Second visit and another great meal. Clever menu with some dishes I have not seen anywhere else. Food is terrific and portions are huge!!!! Restaurant is a little bit out of the way but make an effort to drive out here,you wont be disapointed.
A group of 9 ladies came here for lunch which had to be pre ordered. There was no one else at the restaurant so we felt rather on show. We had to wait ages for the food we had ordered and when it came the portions were rather small, uninspiring, and disappointing. Considering there is a lot of competition locally we were all surprised that it wasn't of a better standard.
The Butchers Block offers fresh, delicious, and affordable food. I highly recommend it! There is a diverse selection to choose from, including vegetarian and healthier options.
What a fantastic restaurant! The portions of freshly cooked food were generous and delicious. I had the fish and chips, which were cooked perfectly. My wife ordered the seabass, and she loved it. We also had breakfast there, and it was massive and great value for the price.
