Sunday morning breakfast. Lovely sunny day so we sat outside. There were a fair few tables free outside. We were served swiftly and our coffees arrived. Sadly they weren’t really cortados, more like espresso and Luke warm. Breakfast took a while to come. They do say a 30 minute wait at busy times. It didn’t seem that busy and it was longer than that. I haven't been to this restaurant in a while due to a disappointing breakfast experience, and unfortunately, lunch was no better. It took 50 minutes from the time we sat down to actually receive our food, which was just a sandwich and a panini. The service was incredibly slow, to the point where we almost considered leaving. When the panini finally arrived, it was a squished piece of crunchy French bread, not what we expected. When we asked about it, the response was a shrug and a dismissive "that's how we serve paninis." It was disappointing.
My partner and I visited this restaurant after traveling to Devon for a short holiday. We were in need of a coffee and some breakfast, and this place exceeded our expectations. The full English breakfast was delightful - just the right portion size, reasonably priced, and served promptly. The coffee was also excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed with a smile on their faces. They were happy to accommodate a substitution on the breakfast, which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be returning when we are in Exmouth again.
Brilliant friendly service, nice quality food and a good price, my must go to place when we visit Exmouth again, well done.
