Was Anonym at Meades a mag?
A really lovely and well maintained cafe. Very tasty menu, lunch was delicious. Plenty of space also. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely visit here again soon. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Meades:
beautiful cappuccino, more cozy place. Unfortunately I didn't eat the lemon cake at all, was super looking, but it was just too sweet, purer sugar. I'll try another cake next time. View all feedback.
I recently visited Meades cafe with my husband and elderly mother for a day out. We ended up getting takeout as there was no disabled parking available. I ordered a small latte, which was served in a white cup. As a Dublin resident, I usually pay €1.50-€2 for this drink. However, despite reminding the server of my order, I was charged €3.45, with the comment that "a latte is a latte". The coffee, cupcake, eclair, and caramel square were just average. The cafe seemed disorganized and the staff were not the friendliest. I would recommend avoiding this place. Unfortunately, it is a prime example of the overpricing that is becoming common in Ireland.
Unfortunately the coffee is bad. They seem to have a good selection of salads, soups and gluten free cakes. The service is not the best and I'm not comfortable with the cursory table cleans. Its a bit cramped and unfortunately the toilet is awful. But for me you go to a coffee shop for good coffee, and I've lost the number of times I've (involuntarily) been in Meads but the coffee is always bad. As in I can't drink it. If you don't drink coffee, absolutely go there; it has a lot to recommend it
The toasted sandwiches at this cafe are excellent. Although the service was a bit slow because there was only one girl working and making all the sandwiches during lunchtime, the experience overall was fantastic and highly recommended.
