Tastey coffee. Easy access off the highway if you are heading North (up island). Outdoor seating, or lots of comfy chairs indoors. Take out meals, wraps and soups, take and heat meals cooler and a delicious looking selection of baked goods. Break away from coffee chains and give this local business a try. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Java World:
the coffee is great. now they make them park their vehicle and bring a coffee with kovid on them. the barista placed the coffee on my dach to avoid contact and she placed it above the passagier window so that I. all the way to go the car in the rain. unforeseen and poor service. they need to take some tips of dietucks service standards. I come often for the tasty americano at a good price. The room is shabby sheik and even a guitar for you to play. They also have a nice outside deck with a smoking area.
Java World is one of the local hangouts for just about everyone, from hard-hat workers to students to young mothers to retirees. Great coffee, comfy chairs, and art on the wall from members of the Cowichan Valley Arts Council, so often a cut about the usual. And the goodies! Best chocolate chip cookies in the Cowichan Valley, and the little breakfast breads--cakes, really--are sublime. Great muffins, too, but I've never had the sandwiches. I bet they're good as well. Their blended drinks as well as coffee are all special, too.
I had a delicious breakfast sandwich that was not on a Udis roll, which was a great bonus! The restaurant had a variety of cookies and bars available, taking gluten-free options seriously. They offered typical coffee shop choices and I was thrilled to see so many possibilities. I didn't feel limited and enjoyed a light and satisfying breakfast.
Only two words needed: lavender latte. The best breakfast sandwiches in the city! They offer gluten-free options and they are fantastic with avocado on top. Even though I've moved out of town, I still make the trip to Duncan to visit this amazing place. The staff are always a joy to interact with. I'm also happy to see that they now have more non-dairy milk options available.
