We are a family-run pub/restaurant located within Castle Cary Holiday Park, offering a beautiful setting with a terrace overlooking the site. We serve freshly cooked, locally sourced food at reasonable prices and welcome families, including dogs. Our menu caters to vegetarians and special diets. We take pride in our good, honest food and provide friendly, efficient service. It is highly recommended to book in advance if visiting between Easter and September. Additionally, we have recently built a covered heated dining "cabin" for guests to enjoy.
The restaurant received mixed reviews for its limited menu and mediocre service. Dishes like prawn salad and mushroom on toast were underwhelming. Despite some negative feedback, others praised the delicious food, efficient service, and friendly staff. Some diners appreciated the reasonable prices but disliked being asked for tips. Overall, the experience seemed hit-or-miss, with some diners enjoying faultless meals while others were disappointed with the quality. Despite the mixed reviews, it seems that the restaurant has its occasional highlights and remains popular with those seeking a pleasant dining experience.
