What a fabulous tea room and gift shop. We had lovely soup and sandwiches, followed by some of the best homemade cakes I've ever tasted. Delicious and very reasonably priced. Very friendly and attentive staff. The added bonus of being able to get my friend a beautiful birthday gift and card in the same place. We will definitely be back.
We visited this shop for a quick cuppa over the weekend on a visit from Northern Ireland to England. I was so pleased that this is my first review. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. My partner really enjoyed the fresh cherry bakewell and a latte while my niece and nephews loved the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows. I had a tasty bowl of the soup of the day (potato and leek) and a ham and cheese and caramelised onion sandwich (delicious). We also treated the kids to some gifts and my quirky partner was delighted with a silk scarf. We also purchased some chalk paint (Autentico) after speaking with a staff member who gave us some great tips on upcycling an old chest of drawers and bedside cabinets at home. I'm glad we stopped here as it was a small place full of personality! Lots of gifts, mugs, quirky and fun, jewelry, art pieces, clothes, and cards! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, as it is very reasonably priced and has parking at the back of the shops! We will definitely return if we are ever in the neck of the woods again.
I went to eat today and while the coffee and drinks were great. . . . Everything is served in beautiful cups and saucers. . . . The food was very disappointing. We had a Panini as everything else was full. In 1. 30:00 h. They were very ordinary. . . But so dry and a little burnt on one side. However I was shocked when I bought a takeaway bun and they charged me 1. 65. . . oh! ! ! . . . . The most expensive takeaway bun I have ever bought. I will come back for drinks but the food leaves much to be desired.
My friend and I have enjoyed many cups of tea and different types of coffee here. There is always a lovely selection of scones and buns which are hard to resist. Very reasonably priced. They also sell nice ornaments and interesting bits and pieces. Not sure why there are so few reviews but I would highly recommend a visit. No toliet in restaurant but in shopping complex beside it.
