Lovely fresh bread. Definitely recommend the wheaten bread. Not a great variety of pastries though. A small seating area which can be nice to nip in for a bowl of soup and a roll. View all feedback.
What EllieKIreland dislikes about Cookie Jar:
Popped in here for scones and coffee after visiting Silent Valley. Scones were average, coffee was fine Unfortunately, and it is a big drawback, this cafe has no customer toilets. View all feedback.
This is the best place for baked goods, offering a wide variety of desserts and snacks. Although it has been a while since my last visit, I can still remember the delicious taste of some of their items.
Always been good, however their wheaten bread is not just as good as it used to be. Still a good standard though.
The vegan sausage rolls in the cookie jar are AMAZING, so good that every time I go to get one they are either sold out or very few left! Would love to see some more vegan items on the menu
Called in for a coffee and snack. Staff were friendly and efficient and the coffees and scone were excellent. Purchased an apple tart to take home but were disappointed to discover that the fresh apples had not been used and the tart was consequently average at best. would have expected fresh apples when purchased in a home bakery and this has dragged down my score from 5 to 3 stars.
We were advised by a local that this place has the best wheaten bread in Ireland. We bought a loaf and a couple of mixes to take home and had a tea and cream cakes while we were there. Everything lives up to the reputation,it as all very good and worth a visit.
