The platform is a pop-up shop run by volunteers from a nurse-led home for individuals with mental health conditions and learning disabilities. Volunteers serve customers and prepare all the food, including delicious homemade cakes. The shop rotates themes every 12 weeks, currently featuring a wide selection of gourmet sandwiches.

The best coffee and cake around, a hidden gem that keeps getting better and better. A fantastic initiative, would visit again
What more could you ask for? The cakes are baked fresh daily, the coffee is exquisite, and even the volunteers are trained as baristas. The staff is always friendly and welcoming.
I frequent the platform almost daily during my work hours, and now that it has turned into a pop-up sandwich and soup shop, it is perfect because there aren't many options nearby for a quick lunch break. The soup is consistently amazing and made fresh at the shop. The sandwiches are tasty and freshly made each day. The Platform also offers delicious cakes and coffee. What sets this place apart is that it is run by residents of a local care home, which I find to be a fantastic concept. They even have a cookbook compiled by the volunteers so you can enjoy their delicious food at home. Keep up the great work, Heather, Abbie, and all the volunteers!
