server was attentive and personable branzino was fantastic, calamari also very good. no bier available (all fittings incapacitated and no bottles as alternative) was quite incredible wein through the glass very limited. a cozy sitting area quite quiet for a Wednesday, before thanksgiving evening, save for the background music. We were seated quickly and received water right away, which was a nice touch. However, our server was lacking in enthusiasm, seemed indifferent, and came across as somewhat irritated. The food was decent but not memorable—actually quite dull. The wine, on the other hand, was excellent. Overall, it was just a rather disappointing experience.
Sat without Bread or water for 20 minutes Mussels appetizer clams w/linguini entree excellent but very meager Branzino entrée good but skimpy wouldn’t order again) Failed to put wine $52) on bill. After being notified, bill was adjusted up to correct amount. No complimentary was offered, either dessert or after dinner drink or modest gift card to atone-poor supervision.
Great staff last night from the hostess to the bartender and waitress. I believe the bartender was named Savannah. She had a very warm and welcoming demeanor. I believe our waitress was Jackie and she was terrific. Our friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Best service team so far at Amis.
