Feedback
Was Richard R at Chances a mag?
The service was friendly, and the beer was cold and refreshing. The nachos were perfect, and the fish and chips were crispy, accompanied by garlic Brussels sprouts. They might have had a bit too much garlic, to be honest, but overall it was a fantastic experience. View all feedback.
It's a true Tavern. Bit dark, pool table, good bar table seating. Chicken wings are bomb, cooked to perfection. Service for a table of six people wandering in off the street was on point.
I had a wonderful experience at Cap City Tavern! The atmosphere was welcoming, the service was top-notch, and the food was fantastic. My friends and I always love dining there. I personally recommend the chicken and fries, mozzarella sticks, and their burger. My partner also mentioned that the salad was exceptional. I'm pretty sure their fries are homemade, which is a huge plus for me! If you can, I suggest sitting on the patio to soak in the sights and people-watching. The staff has consistently been friendly and engaging. I can't wait to return!

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The location and service were nice, and the food was quite decent with reasonable prices for the area. I gave it four stars mainly because the cocktails were weak and the house wine was terrible. I'm not sure if the wine had been opened a couple of days earlier and left out, but it definitely didn’t taste fresh. I mentioned it to the bartender, and she kindly replaced it with a better option at no extra charge. After my weak cocktail, I ordered a double Jack Daniels on the rocks, and that was a solid pour. Thanks!
