The restaurant features not only wonderful people but also fantastic home-cooked meals in a lovely atmosphere. Just so you know, I updated my Yelp review, and it still feels like it’s taking forever to post this brief comment!
Very good experience! After a hike in the Blue Hills, we were searching for a lunch spot and discovered Small Batch Cafe thanks to YELP. While the atmosphere isn't the main attraction, the reasonably priced, excellent food and friendly service make it worth a visit. I highly recommend it. I ordered the club sandwich, which was enjoyable, although next time I might skip the middle slice of bread. Definitely a thumbs up! My wife had the beet salad with walnuts and homemade ricotta, which featured beautifully presented golden beets. She devoured it in no time. Another thumbs up!
Needed a breakfast burrito and Small Batch came up. One of the best I have had! I stood looking at the menu trying to justify coming back for lunch this afternoon to try other items. Small Batch will be on the regular rotation going forward.
We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch! The homemade turkey barley soup was perfectly seasoned—not too salty, thank you! It was delicious and had a lovely taste of home cooking. The steak and cheese sandwich with fried onions was tasty, although it could have used a bit more meat. The salad featured delightful hard-boiled eggs and crispy bacon, with such a fantastic dressing that I actually asked for a little extra! I can’t wait to return for more of their house-made dishes. They even have homemade muffins and cookies!
Went here for the first today with my mom and sister for brunch. I got a Reuben sandwich which was delicious. My mom got a salmon bagel and my sister got a breakfast sandwich. We also all shared a Caesar salad. Everything was yummy. We'll be back.
