Feedback
Lotus is a popular Chinese restaurant in Sydney that offers a wide selection of traditional and fusion dishes. The decor is cool and the service is great. Customers have praised the delicious and juicy dumplings, crunchy eggplant, and generous soy chicken. The Pre-Theatre menu is a hit for those catching a play, with efficient service and a good wine selection. Families particularly appreciate the friendly staff and prompt service, especially when dining with young children. Overall, Lotus is recommended for fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented dishes, making it a top spot for dumplings in the CBD.
We enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. Dumplings were fresh, fish was cooked wonderfully and succulent and full of flavour, greens were cooked well, again, with great flavour. Food came out fast, no long waits! Cosy little place.
Went in with my family today for a late Mothers Day lunch & we loved it! A cosy, little place that has just the right amount of everything going on as in not too noisy or not too quiet. The staff were friendly & the service was prompt. They observed empty plates & cleared them quickly & without disturbing our meal. We appreciated a constant tidy table throughout our visit, it can be frustrating having a table full of empty plates as new dishes keep arriving. Facilities & everything overall was very clean. We have 3 young children & they were welcomed by staff our whole visit. They had highchairs for little ones we noticed too. Not a pram friendly space though (just a fyi thing). We had: Peking duck pancakes, xiao long bao, pork & chives dumplings, crispy chicken in shandong style sauce, pork buns & stir fry noodles w/beef, bean sprout & garlic chives & it was all fresh, delicious & beautifully presented. Some of the best dumplings we have had. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended place to try for dumplings in the CBD.

Being from Perth, was in Sydney for business and felt like dumplings, I came because of a trip advisor recommendation. Firstly cool place with nice decor. I went for the Mud crab xiao long bao dumplings and was recommended the Kung pao chicken. The dumplings were fine but considering they worked...
Have passed by many times before but never gone in. So I was surprised how small the restaurant actually is. Pre-theatre without a booking, the place was full, but was lucky to get the last couple of spots at the bar. I love the dumplings at their Galleries branch, so got a few varieties and they were equally great here. The jade prawn dumplings were a vibrant green in colour, with big juicy prawns filling. Mixed mushrooms dumplings were a good mix of mushroom's sweetness & earthiness. The scallop & vegetable shumai had the same rice flour warps as the dumplings, but that hardly matter, the scallops were fresh and had great flavour. The Stir Fry rice noodle with beef & bean sprouts was authentic. Overall very satisfying. P.s the cocktails were very good too!
