The flavors are just as I remember from my childhood. My mom would take us there for snacks when she had errands to run before heading home. My personal favorites are Pancit Lug-Lug, Spaghetti with Toasted Bread, and Fresh Lumpiang Ubod. These are a must-try when you’re in Davao!
The best and oldest snack shop and bakery in Davao! We tried the Lug-lug, Pinutos (CPA), Durian Pie, and Egg Pie, and everything was delicious and definitely worth it. The prices are also very affordable.
The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back to dine here again.
Cecil’s takes pride in being one of the oldest bakeshops in the city, and it truly evokes a sense of home and childhood nostalgia. They don’t even need a sign outside; anyone who grew up here knows exactly where the original shop is located. I visited for takeout around 2 PM, just in time for merienda, and the place was packed with loyal customers despite the limited seating. Perhaps in keeping with its “old-fashioned” charm, the shop doesn’t have a QR code system; instead, you’ll find a manual logbook system in place. Or maybe maintaining a QR system is just too costly? Either way, I'm not sure. The durian and egg pie still has the same deliciously creamy flavor, and it pairs perfectly with coffee. The fresh lumpia crepes were a bit dry, but the sauce was still a standout for me.
Delicious and authentic. I loved all of the savory and sweet treats Cecil’s had to offer. My favorite being the leche flan. I would recommend making a trip to the city of Davao for it!
